Downtown Longmont will come alive on February 10th at our 2nd Friday Cabin Fever themed night from 6-9pm. Get out of the house and enjoy a great evening downtown with special retail promotions, art gallery openings, Pecha Kucha Night at the Firehouse Art Center, and of course great dining throughout the district.
Also join us at 7pm for the 2nd Friday retailer Fashion Show at 372 Main (old Cayenne Kitchen building) featuring styles and accessories from our downtown clothing retailers. Step outside at 5th Ave and Main St. and see Fashion in Action to complete the evening.

Apparel Valley is celebrating Icelandic Design's 30th Anniversary by offering an exclusive pre-sale for Icelandic Design's Fall/Winter 2011 collection! This collection continues the tradition of beauty and craftsmanship while using updated shapes and new fabrics to add style. It consists of four different lines: Metropolitan, Dottir, Nordic, Sport, and Newari.
Metropolitan- is geared towards the fashion foward boutique with a wearable, urban slant. Bold shapes and jaunty seaming are just some of the details that mark this year's Metropolitan collection. Anchored in boiled wool, textural interest is created with the use of stretch fabrics, tulle, and lace. Silhouettes offer a variety, from trim vests and jackets to asymmetrical and cascading collars, ruffles flourishes and curved fronts.

Dottir- grows in importance as a collection of ornamental opulence. Featured as the "jewel-box" of the Fall 2011 Icelandic Design line, each piece is a masterpiece in silhouette, construction, embellishment, and detail. Show stopping jackets and full length coats are adorned with beautiful buttons which serve as jewelry in their own right. Each piece has an historical yet modern feeling.

Nordic- encompasses the proud heritage of Icelandic Design while offering a complimentary mix of casual outerwear and classic styling. Updated shapes paired with luxurious fabrics, stunning wool hand embroidery are focal points of the group. Lined, boiled wool jackets with applique and embroidery feature innovative takes on Nordic scrolls, flowers, and flourishes. Great new shapes update the traditional offering, while maintaining the details for which Icelandic Design is known. Old world jacquards and hand embroideries work seamlessly with updated fashion shapes in order to revitalize this pivotal group.

Sport- fuses traditional elements with cutting edge style this season. Icelandic's beloved Nordic Fairisles and snowflake jacquards are done in vibrant pops of racing color mixed with black.
